We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Machine Operator to join our team in a fast-paced machine shop environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various machines to produce precision metal parts and components according to specifications.
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Machine Operator to join our team in a fast-paced machine shop environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various machines to produce precision metal parts and components according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.)
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders
- Monitor machining operations and adjust settings as necessary
- Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Maintain clean and organized workstations
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and notify maintenance if needed
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Familiarity with CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas) is a plus, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Willingness to work and pride in your work
